We are celebrating the life of our loved one, Stephanie Michelle Hawkes who went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 3, 2018 at VCU Hospital in Richmond, VA. She was born on September 3, 1979 to William and Mary Woodson Hawkes.
Stephanie was educated in the Nottoway County School System. She worked as a CNA and Med. Tech. at Med.Care.
“Black” as she was affectionately called, loved being around her family and friends.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother Mary W. Hawkes; her great grandmother Susie; grandparents Josephine and Coleman Woodson, Sr., William and Margaret Hawkes. She leaves precious and fond memories to: her father William L. Hawkes (Sandra Jones); stepmother Pamela Williams Hawkes; brother William Hawkes (Tonya Tyson); sisters LaTasha Patrick (Donta Patrick), Elizabeth Hawkes (Torrey Henderson), Shirwilsha T. Cordell (Antwain Cordell), Toccara D. Booker, Stewaun I. Booker (Terrell Johnson); step-brothers Kevin Tucker, Sr. and Jack Jones III; a very special niece/daughter Detori Henderson; three special friends Jametra Neal, Melvin Epps and Wilma Jean Dagner; four uncles Coleman Woodson (Rosa), Andrew Woodson (Joyce), Andre and Wayne Hawkes; two aunts Connie Hawkes and Denise Vaughan; five nephews; three nieces; god-son Edward Walker; god-daughter Djameria Parrish; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Cellar Creek Baptist Church, Blackstone. Interment Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackstone.
