Mrs. Lou Myrtle Gaines departed this life on Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Hopewell, VA peacefully in her sleep. She was born to the late Ludelia and Willie Neal, Sr., on September 8, 1929.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Gaines.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her son Kurly Gaines of Pasadena, MD; two daughters, Sandra Walker of Richmond, VA and Mildred Gaines of Hopewell, VA; a special granddaughter whom she raised at her early age, Janica Gaines of Colonial Heights, VA; a devoted god-daughter JoAnn Stevens of Prince George, VA; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one devoted grandson, Carlos Walker of Richmond, VA; four sisters, Gladys Randle of Blackstone, VA, Kathleen Stallworth (Joseph) of Baltimore, MD, Carrie Hicks (William) of Silver Spring, MD and Daisy Jennings (Thomas) of Newport News, VA; two sisters-in-law Pauline Neal of Disputanta, VA and Ethel Neal of Richmond, VA; one devoted friend, Gloria Bradley; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Graveside Service Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
