Obituary for Lois R Staton
On Wednesday evening March 21, 2018, the Lord cradled his child, Lois Rebecca Staton into his arms and carried her to her eternal home. An Angel has received her wings. Lois was born July 23, 1944 to Joshua White and Viola White (Penn), both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Alice, Vivian and Patty Mae and brothers, Bobby and James.

Lois was educated in the Nottoway County Public School System and graduated from Luther H. Foster High School. At an early age she was baptized and joined Macedonia Baptist Church in Burkeville, VA. Lois furthered her education and training when she moved to Bronx, NY where she worked at JC Penny and attended Willford Academy.

Lois met and married Lee Staton and to this union Calvin, Bridget and Michelle were born. Lois became a licensed Cosmetologist and had a passion to serve her community. She owned her own business, Loaisha Beauty Salon on Tremont Avenue in the Bronx. Lois loved her family, planning family events, sewing and creative decorating. She was a foster mother and was blessed to care for Monique, Tara, Takeemia and Lotaya, all her daughters. Everyone that knows Lois knows that she loved the Lord and was a godly woman. Lois served as a Missionary for the Lord.

Michelle and Carl moved Lois to Virginia in 2007. She resided at Chester Village Senior Apartment, it quickly became her home. Lois was back doing what she loved most, doing hair, making friends and caring for others. She bonded and created special friendship with the seniors in her building. She gave all of herself in helping wherever she could.
