Obituary for Junius Smith
Junius Smith departed this life on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Amelia, VA. Son of the late John Sydney and Eliza Smith, he was born on October 22, 1933 in Amelia, VA.

He accepted Christ into his life at an early age. He was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church until his health began to fail.

Junius was joined in matrimony to Martha Mondrey Smith in September 1957.

Junius retired from Richmond Foundry after thirty-three years of serviced. He later worked for Featherstone Seed and Feed.

Junius was an avid hunter and gardener and a loving grandfather to all of his grandchildren.

Junius was preceded in death by a son Curtis Smith. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Martha Mondrey Smith; three sons, Junius (Sandra) Smith, Ronald (Cathy) Smith and Malcolm (Brenda) Smith; two daughters, Kimberly Smith (John Epps III) and Debra (Glenn) Wilkerson; mother-in-law, Annie L. Mondrey; daughter-in-law, Annie Mae Smith; thirteen grandchildren, Cherise, Junius Jr., Monica, Sean, Christina, MaKaya, NaKeshia, Travis, Sharonda, Yolanda, Shamar, Tiffany and Coretta; eighteen great grandchildren, Avery, Evelyn, Saraiya, Valentino, Ximara, Davon, Maliyah, Trae’Shawn, Arielle, Alayah, Kayden, Kamden, Landynn, Chanel, Isaiah, Elijah, Micah and Ace; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Morris, Mrs. Carrie Lawson; seven sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, devoted friends and caregivers.

Funeral Services Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, Amelia. Interment church cemetery
