In the early morning of July 15, 2016, John William Reed, Jr., entered eternal rest. John was born July 25, 1967 to John and Hazel Reed.
John graduated from Amelia County High School. He was very skillful, and adventured into many careers. He worked as a carpenter, building constructor, and sanitation engineer most of his life.
One of John’s favorite passions was to hunt. He would spend most of his Saturday’s with family and friends during hunting season. Another activity that he enjoyed was fishing. He loved to share his passions with his only son.
John was best noted for his humor. He was an optimistic, friendly family man. John would always leave friends with smiles and laughter when he indulged them with one of his tales or experiences.
Leaving to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Yvette Reed; mother and father, John and Hazel Reed; two brothers, Reginald Reed and Lonnie Anderson; his second mother, Lavern Pegram; four sons; one daughter; five grandchildren; devoted friends, Dee Dee and Franklin Mitchell; and a host of cousins and friends.
