Obituary for Jeff Julius Woolridge
Jeff Julius Woolridge was born on October 30, 1948 and departed this life on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Riverside Medical Center, Newport News, VA at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his parents Jeff and Bessie Giles Woolridge; three brothers, Purcell S. Mosby, Richard "Guppy" Woolridge and Edward "Eddie" Woolridge (Rosa); two sisters, Irene Jordan and Florence Pegram.

Jeff accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, was baptized and joined the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Chesterfield, VA (Winterpock).

He was educated in the Chesterfield County Public School system, attended two years of college and served in the United States Army for twelve years.

Jeff was a creative artist in that he loved to sketch and draw. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He married his longtime sweetheart, Millicent Terrell in Phenix, Alabama on June 2, 2012.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Millicent Terrell Woolridge; three children, Michael Woolridge (Charisee), April M. Wilson and Precious Woolridge Bayan (Nasir); two stepson, Hasun R. Mathis (Shamillian) and Korey Terrell (Deborah); fifteen grandchildren; five sisters, Annie Harris (James), Vernell Price (Corbin), Bessie Duplissis (Victor), Mary Evans and Lula Taylor; sisters-in-law, Queen Mosby and Mary Woolridge of Richmond, VA; brother-in-law, Henry Pegram of Amelia, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the mother of his children, Wanda Mathis and friends.

Funeral Services Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home, Amelia. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, VA.
