Obituary for Eunice Oliver Harper
On Thursday, August 9, 2018 the angels came down and quickly carried home Eunice Oliver Harper, affectionately known as Pot. She devoted her life to God and to her family.
Eunice was born September 16, 1948 to late Junious L. and Nannie C. Oliver. She was educated in Nottoway County Schools and was a graduate of Luther H. Foster High School in 1968.
Eunice joined Union Baptist Church at an early age where she has served and directed the Sanctuary Choir.
On July 22, 1967, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Lonnie Harper, Jr. to this union one daughter was born, Tangila.
Eunice (Pot) leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband of 51 years Lonnie Harper, Jr. (Billy); one precious daughter, Tangila H. Smith; a devoted son-in-law, Landus Smith, Sr.; one grandson Landus Smith, Jr., one grand-daughter she adopted JaNae Emerson; her loving siblings: one sister Hazel O. Jefferson, one brother Junious Oliver, Jr. and a best friend who is like a sister, Kathleen Hubbard; two sisters-in-law Gladys Smith (Freddie) and Barbara Tucker; three brothers-in-law, George Berkley (Marie), Ricky Harper (Sharon), James Coleman(Lillian); a niece and a nephew who she loved as her own, Theresa and Frankie Oliver; one devoted great-niece Kayla Street and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Union Baptist Church, Crewe. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
