Obituary for Ernest Morris Frisby
Ernest departed this life suddenly on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at his home in Blackstone, VA. He was born January 29, 1955 to the late John and Novella Abbott.
Ernest accepted his faith in Christ at a young age and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church. He was educated in Nottoway County and went on to join the Navy at an early age. His later years were spent in Boston, MA until he recently moved back to Blackstone, VA.
Ernest enjoyed reading and writing book about his personal life experiences. He was a great carpenter and electrician. He loved to draw blue prints, one was previously on display at the Blackstone Arts and Craft display. All of these talents were gifts from God. He was always full of laughter and smiles, always humble. He worked at McDonalds for the last three years.
He leaves to cherish precious and loving memories: four sisters, Shirley Hardy, Ernestine Abbott Tucker, Gladys Anderson of Blackstone, VA and Lisa Abbott of Chesterfield, VA; four brothers, Waverly Frisby, Leon Abbott, Larry Abbott, and Kenneth Abbott all of Blackstone, VA; two aunts, Edith Green of Hampton, VA and Martha Hawkes of Baltimore, MD; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church, Blackstone. Interment Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
