Obituary for Corliq B. Wright
Our loving son, grandson, brother and friend, Corliq B. Wright, departed this life suddenly on January 1, 2018 at his home in Chesapeake, VA. He was born on July 9, 2004 to Crystal Epps and Corey Wright.
He attended school in the Nottoway County School System through 7th grade and was currently an eight grader at Jolliff Middle School in Chesapeake, VA.
Corliq was a kind and loving young man. His love for God, his parents, his grandparents and his church was inevitable. He attended Mt. Nebo Baptist Church for many years and was baptized on November 5, 2017. He enjoyed Sunday School classes with Deacons Frost and Evans. He also enjoyed spending time with his PaPa James.
His community affiliations included Boy Scouts, bowling, Blackstone recreational basketball and baseball league. He was often noted for his ability to hit home runs and his fast running ability.
Corliq was the youngest of seven siblings. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Diane VanRomondt, but leaves to cherish his memory six siblings, Bryttany Wright, Ayinde Meredith, Breyana Epps, Isaih Dailey, Correyain Wright and Diamond Wright; grandparents PaPa James and Nannie Lillian Epps of Crewe, VA and Gerald VanRomondt, Sr. of Farmville, VA; aunts, Shelly (Colonel David Gibbs) of Haymarket, VA and Kiley Wright of Norfolk, VA; uncle Gerald VanRomdt, Jr. of Norfolk, VA; great aunts, Rebecca, Ruth, Johanna, Anita (Leamon); Sandra Wright, Louise Little and Sarah Wright; uncles, FreddieWright (Phyllis), Joseph Coleman, Roger Coleman, Jr. and Richard Coleman (Barbara); a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service Saturday, January 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.
