Obituary for Alan DeMar Bradshaw
Alan DeMar Bradshaw ‘Buck’ 30, was born on December 22, 1986 to Randolph and Gwendolyn Bradshaw of Blackstone, VA. He was called home to be with the giver of life and death on November 11, 2017 in Nottoway County.

Alan was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Blackstone, VA. He was a member of the youth choir as well as the youth usher board. He attended Nottoway County School System and Lion of Judah Academy. He later received his GED.

Alan was employed at several jobs, his last to be JD Long Masonry at Fort Pickett VA. Alan loved his family and friends and always greeted them with an unforgettable smile and a witty laugh.

Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Anderson, Otto Bradshaw, Sr. and Haywood Patterson, Jr. who called him ‘Lil Boy’; his aunt, Linda E. Worsham and Uncle, George Patterson.

Alan leaves to cherish his love and memories to his devoted mother, Gwendolyn Craig; loving father, Randolph Bradshaw; a grandmother he loved so dearly and cared so much for, Morine ‘Granny’ Patterson; step father, Kevin Craig; protective brothers, Keith Bradshaw, Marlo (Raven) and Corey Patterson; wonderful sisters, Michelle Knight (Darrell) and Aretha ‘Lisa’ Lewis; never forgotten nieces and nephews that he loved so dearly, Khalier, Kayanna, Daryeona, Jasmine, Shantiqua, JaQuan, Kylik, Codarrell, DaWarren, DeMar and Jalin; great nephew and niece, Ta-Khy and Zamiyah and one unborn he had knowledge of; eight strong uncles, Milton Elder, Sherwood Patterson, Milton, Otto Jr., Michael (Annette), Sterling Bradshaw, Ralph (Jackie) and Rosco (Gladys) Anderson; seven mother-like aunts, Floreace Claiborne, Wanda Coleman, Gertie Elder, Cynthia Patterson, Sherry (Kevin) Brown, Linda (Walter) West and Carolyn (Andrew) Anderson; a very special god-daughter, Kyra White; devoted friends, Evwan Wells (Big Lo), James White III ‘White White”, Brian Jones ‘Manifest’, Lorenzo Eppes ‘Lil Lo’, Brian Rogers ‘Blackboy’, Javon Riddick and Tremaine Hawkes; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. The hangout was in the hood, the East, but the spot was at Connie Glenn’s house. Buck loved ‘Lil C’ for her many acts of kindness

Funeral Services Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Blackstone. Interment church cemetery.
